Stan Sperlak
An artist from Cape May Court House, NJ,
Stan works from nature with pastels on rough
paper surfaces.
His scenes are from Cape May County where Stan
can
be found painting the beaches, wetlands, fields
and skies.
He
maintains a studio where marsh, farm and forest meet
on
the Crow Creek in Goshen, NJ
Stan has traveled all over the United States, from
Hawaii to Colorado, Minnesota and New York but finds the light and subtle
beauty of this area to be unparalleled.
He teaches workshops and guides other artists on painting adventures in
Cape May’s back country.
Stan studied painting at the Pennsylvania
Academy of the Fine Arts, and with Pat Witt of Millville, NJ. He is a member of the
Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters, The Maryland Pastel Society, a juried member
of The Pastel Society of America, and the Cape May County Art League.
